Different Parts of a Dab Rig
- Nail: This is the part of the dab rig that is heated and onto which the concentrate is placed. Nails can be made of glass, quartz, or titanium.
- Banger: A type of nail with a deep dish to hold concentrates, made of glass or quartz. Offers a more flavorful experience than a titanium nail.
- Dome: A dome is a small glass hood that fits over the nail and helps to trap the vapor as it is inhaled. Not as common in today’s rigs.
- Carb Cap: This is a small cap that is placed over the nail to help regulate the airflow and temperature, providing a more controlled and consistent hit.
- Water Chamber: This is the part of the dab rig that holds the water where the vapor is filtered before it is inhaled.
- Downstem: This extends inside the water chamber and helps to filter the vapor before it is inhaled.

- Standard Rig: A standard rig –or jammer –features a water chamber, a joint for the nail or banger, and a mouthpiece. They come in a variety of sizes and shapes, from small and portable to large and elaborate.
